Plans are to hold the event again next year if the corporate sponsors are interested. The College is working with the JCS Museum to arrange an "Art in Agriculture" exhibit for fall 2008. The hope is to collaborate with the College of Liberal Arts and other groups on campus to make it an annual event. The College launched in September a new service called Ag Hill Update, an e-newsletter for our students, faculty and staff. The bi-weekly newsletter offers news of events, awards, opportunities and more and seems to be well received and read by our audiences. The College also launched Picture This! on Oct. 3, a bi-weekly Web-based photo submission opportunity for students, faculty, staff and friends that we hope will encourage more people to visit our Web site and become engaged with our programs. The College is organizing graphics and materials for AU's ITunes U. The Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, is sponsoring short Alabama Public Television segments related to food and nutrition. These 90-second pieces will begin running on APT channels in the next couple of months. The College is creating student recruitment and college overview videos that should be ready by 1-1-08.
- Liberal Arts: A Media Forum will be held on 10-12-07 for students at the JCS Museum with six sessions between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Alum Michael Young will host the event. More information can be found at www.cla.auburn.edu.
