SHARE YOUR WAR EAGLE SUPPER CLUB MEMORIES
If you spent weekends shaking and chugging to the strains of the Velcro Pygmies, Zig and the Zigtones, Telluride and other bands at the ironically-named War Eagle Supper Club on South College Street, Auburn Magazine wants to hear from you! The magazine is compiling a story on the history of the legendary juke joint, complete with recollections from alumni. Have a story to share? Send your tale to aubmag@auburn.edu. A writer may contact you.

ALUM HOSPITALITY TENT RE-CAP
This football season, an average of 1,800 people attended each ALUM Hospitality Tent on home game days. The Auburn Alumni Association is grateful to all sponsors who made this year’s event possible: Kroger, Milo’s Tea, Champion’s Club, Hamilton Gables, AutoGlove, Tiger Rags and Comcast Charter Sports. We also want to thank all the wonderful volunteers from the Southeastern Raptor Center who shared delightful feathered friends with us each game. And of course, the Tent would not be the same without Aubie, the AU Marching Band, the AU Cheerleaders, the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen, the Student Alumni Board and our volunteers. Attendees also celebrated three special days this year for the first time ever: the “Kick-it Up a Notch” Chili Cookoff celebrated the commitment of Life Members, we celebrated AU future Tigers at the Florida Tent, and on Veteran’s Day more than 200 people signed our Veterans greeting card and more than 100 postcards to Tiger Troops overseas were collected to be mailed. Thanks to all who attended the tent and we can’t wait to see you next year.
