AUBURN TO TAKE COLLECTIONS
AT HOMECOMING GAME FOR
AU STUDENT EMERGENCY
RELIEF FUND

The Auburn Athletics Department will be accepting donations at the Homecoming football game on Sept. 24 to benefit the Auburn University Student Emergency Relief Fund, which will aid Auburn students affected by Hurricane Katrina. Collection for the AU Student Emergency Relief Fund will occur at several points throughout the main concourse of Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Auburn University Student Emergency Relief Fund was established to assist more than 1,500 Auburn students who have been impacted by the hurricane.

Fans may also donate through the Auburn University web site, www.develop.auburn.edu. Please click on AU Student Emergency Relief Fund under University Programs.

"The effects of Hurricane Katrina have not only impacted millions of people in the Gulf Coast region and in the Southeastern part of our country, but it has also hit close to home." said Auburn Athletics Director Jay Jacobs. "Many Auburn students that call the Gulf Coast home have been impacted by the devastation of Katrina. I hope that Tiger fans will be kind enough to help those Auburn students in need by donating to the Auburn University Student Emergency Relief Fund."

Auburn and Western Kentucky will kickoff Saturday, Sept. 24, at 1:30 p.m. CDT in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
