ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES CAREER NETWORKING RESOURCE FOR AU GRADS
AUBURN - The Auburn Alumni Association announced the launch of its ALUM
Career Center, a Web-based resource through which the Auburn Family
of Auburn University graduates can network to search for or post job positions.
This is an amazing service to be able to offer to our graduates,
said Debbie Shaw, Interim Vice President of Alumni Affairs and Executive
Director of the Auburn Alumni Association.
Helping our alumni connect with each other is a key function of
what we do, and the ALUM Career Center takes us one step further in making
those connections, Shaw added.
Auburn graduates can access the alumni networking site by going to www.aualum.org
and then clicking on the link for the ALUM Career Center.
Graduates can participate by choosing from three options provided at the
Career Center site: posting available jobs for other Auburn graduates
to access; posting their resumes to be seen by Auburn-graduate human resource
agents seeking to fill positions; and searching for jobs posted by Auburn
graduates.
From your first day at Auburn University as a student, you know
you are part of a family. If you are in a position to post a job for fellow
Auburn grads, then I encourage you to do it now, said Andy Hornsby,
Alumni Association president. He added that he encourages all Auburn graduates
to participate in supporting one another in job search efforts.
The Auburn Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization designed to
support the allegiance between Auburn University and its graduates and
friends. The group is composed of more than 47,000 dues-paying members.
More than 220,000 AU alumni live throughout the world. For more information
on the Auburn Alumni Association, see www.aualum.org .
Auburn University is a preeminent land-grant and comprehensive research
institution with more than 23,000 students and 6,500 faculty and staff.
Ranked among the top 50 public universities nationally, Auburn is Alabamas
largest educational institution, offering more than 230 undergraduate,
graduate and doctoral degree programs.
