AU SINGERS PLAN TWO SPRING PERFORMANCES ON SUNDAY
AUBURN -- The Auburn University Singers will present their annual Spring Show on Sunday, April 25, at 2:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., at Telfair Peet Theater.
Under the director of Thomas Smith, chair of the AU Department of Music and director of choral activities, the show choir will present a wide array of popular and show music complete with costumes and choreography.
Some of the songs to be performed include "Love is a Wonderful Thing," "Soul Man," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight, "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and "What I Did for Love" from the long-running Broadway musical, "A Chorus Line."
Individual and small group talent will also be showcased through a variety of contemporary styles, such as country, rock-and-roll, inspirational and novelty music.
The choral entertainment ensemble of 36 singers and nine instrumentalists began in 1972 at AU.
