AUBURN STUDENT BROADCAST JOURNALISTS WIN AP AWARDS

AUBURN -- Two Auburn University students majoring in communications have been recognized by the Alabama Associated Press for their outstanding work as student broadcast journalists.

Brad Tillery, a senior from Montgomery, was named Best News Reporter, while Jonathan Martin, a junior from East Point, Ga., was named Best News Anchor.

Both students work for Eagle Eye Television News, the AU student TV news cable channel.

Tillery is news director for Eagle Eye, while Martin is associate producer. Both work as reporters and anchors.

The awards were presented to the pair during the annual spring AP Broadcasters convention in Gulf Shores.
