TO SPEAK AT AU ON MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN RELATIONS
AUBURN - John Esposito, a leader of a movement to build better relations
between Muslims and Christians, will present a public lecture on "Islam
and the West" at Auburn University on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Esposito will speak at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the new Sciences Laboratory
Center as part of the Littleton-Franklin Lecture Series.
The visiting speaker is founding director of the Center for Muslim-Christian
Understanding and a professor of religion and international affairs and
of Islamic studies at Georgetown University in Washington. His books include
"Islamic Threat: Myth or Reality" and "Islam and Democracy."
