NEW SHOW TIMES ANNOUNCED FOR AU'S 'FREAKSPIEL!'

AUBURN -- The Auburn University Department of Theatre has announced new show times for several performances of its production of "Freakspiel! A Demented Rock Opera," which premieres Nov. 12 at the Jan Dempsey Arts Center in Auburn.

Several performance times had to be pushed back because of unforeseen conflicts, said Linda Bell, marketing manager for AU Theatre.

Performances set for Nov. 14, Nov. 19 and Nov. 21 will begin at 7:30 p.m., as originally scheduled. Other performances have been rescheduled as follows:

** Wednesday, Nov. 12: Curtain time changed from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

** Thursday, Nov. 13: Curtain time changed from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

** Saturday, Nov. 15 and Thursday, Nov. 20: Curtain times changed from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

** Sunday, Nov. 16: Matinee curtain time changed from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

A parody of the mass media, "Friekspiel" mixes elements of 19th century Punch-and-Judy puppet shows, early 20th century vaudeville and cabaret and today's reality television and confrontational talk shows to create a unique theatrical experience that will shock some and delight others.

The AU Theatre box office is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is $18 for faculty and staff, $15 for students and $20 for the public.
