AUBURN ADVISOR WINS ADVISING ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

AUBURN -- Susan Noble Herren, an academic advisor in Auburn University's College of Business, has won a summer scholarship from the National Academic Advising Association.

Herren will be attending the association's week-long intensive summer program in either Milwaukee, Wis., or Portsmouth, Maine. The program helps advisors in developing specific strategies at colleges and universities.

Herren, one of only four people who won the scholarship in a national competition, will explore ways to further advising as a major strategy for retention planning at AU.

The NACADA is based at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.
