RICHARD MILLMAN SHOWS ART AT AU'S PEBBLE HILL IN APRIL
AUBURN -- Professor emeritus and artist Richard Millman will exhibit a selection of his paintings at Auburn University's Pebble Hill during the month of April.
The show opens with a public presentation and reception on April 8 at 4 p.m.
Millman's work has appeared statewide, including the Heritage Hall Museum, Jackson Hospital and Sterling Bank Corporation in Montgomery.
Millman's credentials include workshops, one-man shows and several awards in juried shows, including the Southern Watercolor Society National Shows, the Georgia Watercolor Society National Shows and the Watercolor Society of Alabama's National Shows.
The Michigan native has drawn and painted since early childhood, but studied architecture at the University of Michigan. Following a successful career in teaching in architecture, Millman retired from AU in 1989 and took up painting again.
Millman's show at Pebble Hill runs through April 31. Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public. For more information, call Pebble Hill, home of the Auburn University Center for the Arts & Humanities, at 334/844-4946.
